USA & France – AeroStar Training Services, an FAA-certified Part 141 and 142 full flight simulator training center based in Kissimmee, Florida, has announced it will now offer EASA Airbus A320/A320neo type rating training through a new partnership with ICARE, the Morlaix, France-based EASA-approved full flight simulator training center.
- The EASA A320 type rating program is priced at USD 36,500 for two trainees as a first CS-25 type rating, or USD 32,000 for two trainees who already hold or have held a multi-pilot EASA CS-25 type rating. Training will be delivered at ICARE's facility at Morlaix Airport in France, with class dates scheduled for 8 June and 6 July 2026.
- Prerequisites — applicants must:
- Hold a valid EASA Class 1 medical
- Hold or have held a valid EASA IR(A) multi-engine rating
- Have flown at least 70 hours as pilot in command (PIC)
- Have passed the EASA ATPL theoretical examinations
- Have completed the specified EASA UPRT course
- Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an EASA MCC course or have at least 500 hours as a pilot in multi-pilot operations on single-pilot multi-engine aircraft in commercial air transport
- AeroStar operates as EASA Approved Training Organisation FR.ATO.0006, associated with FCL 745.A or ORO.FC.220, ORO.FC.230 or FCL.915(e)(1).
- The partnership extends AeroStar's training portfolio beyond its FAA programs, which include ATP-CTP courses and Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 type ratings at its Kissimmee and Miami locations, into the EASA type rating market through ICARE's established French infrastructure.
- ICARE received DGAC approval for an integrated A320 MCC-QT course in 2025 and operates both A320ceo and A320neo full flight simulators alongside an FNPT II A320 at its Morlaix facility.
