Texas, USA – US Aviation Academy (USAA), one of North America’s largest pilot training organisations, has appointed Mark Mattison to Vice President of Military Programs following the award of a 10‑year, $835 million contract to provide Initial Pilot Training (IPT) for the United States Air Force (USAF). USAA’s military training team comprises experienced instructors, maintainers, and retired rated Colonels, delivering foundational general aviation competencies under FAA Part 141 rules tailored to military pilot progression.
To support expanded military training demand, USAA is investing in facility growth, including development of a new training location in New Braunfels, Texas, aimed at increasing capacity to train additional Air Force pilot candidates when needed.
