India – Skyborne, the international pilot training academy, announces the launch of a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) programme for India to build the country’s commercial pilot pipeline.
Conducted in line with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) requirements, the programme allows Indian cadets to train for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) CPL at Skyborne’s Vero Beach campus in Florida. With no prior flying experience required, cadets can gain Single and Multi-Engine certifications, including Instrument privileges, as they prepare to become airline-ready commercial pilots.
Rina Basu, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, Skyborne, says: “As India’s aviation sector continues to grow, Skyborne’s CPL programme opens the door for aspiring cadets to kickstart their pilot careers. By bringing a proven US training model to Indian cadets, we’re creating a direct, high-quality pathway to becoming a professional pilot.
With airline fleets and routes expanding in India, there’s never been a better time to start. Based at our FAA-approved Vero Beach campus, cadets will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and optimal flying conditions as they prepare to take to the skies with the very best in the industry.”
The flight time, course content and instructional methods on the CPL programme are fully aligned with DGCA standards. Following a successful assessment, selected cadets enrolled in the programme will complete their flight training over approximately 12 months.
