Czech Republic & Slovakia – Shark.Aero, a Czech-Slovak aerospace company, has secured certification for a turbulence-cancelling system installed on its Shark 600 aircraft, developed over more than seven years by Turbulence Solutions and described as the first such system certified on any aircraft globally.
- The turbulence-cancelling system actively stabilises the aircraft in turbulent air, reducing the impact of turbulence by up to 80% according to the manufacturer, providing a smoother and more controlled flight experience in demanding conditions.
- The Shark 600 is the first aircraft in the world to be equipped with the certified system, positioning the platform as a technology demonstrator for active stabilisation in light aircraft.
- The system was developed by Turbulence Solutions over a seven-year development cycle and has now achieved formal certification for operational use.
- The technology carries potential implications for the flight training sector, where turbulence-related disruptions to training schedules, student progression, and aircraft utilisation represent a persistent operational challenge for flight schools — particularly those operating in regions with variable weather conditions.
