Ireland – Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA), a Cork-based flight training provider and Ryanair Future Flyer Academy partner, has hosted Ryanair Pilot Recruitment representative Jake McComish at its facility to brief current Future Flyer Academy cadets on career opportunities and life at Europe's largest airline.

  • McComish delivered a presentation to AFTA's Future Flyer Academy cadets, providing insight into the Ryanair pilot recruitment process, career progression, and day-to-day operations at the airline.
  • The visit reinforces the direct link between AFTA's cadet training pipeline and Ryanair's pilot hiring process, with the Future Flyer Academy offering cadets a structured pathway including a conditional job offer from day one of training and a Ryanair type rating at no upfront cost.

Founded in 1995, AFTA has trained more than 2,800 pilots and currently operates a 26-aircraft fleet alongside advanced simulators, including Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX 8200 devices. AFTA maintains long-standing partnerships with major airlines such as Ryanair, Air Astana, VistaJet, ASL Airlines Ireland, and GlobeAir, and collaborates with Munster Technological University (MTU) on academic programmes.
