Portugal's Train-By-Wire Offers Free A320 Simulator Time and Instructor Access to Displaced Spirit Airlines Pilots

Portugal – Train-By-Wire (TBW), a Porto-based pilot training organisation, has offered free A320 Fixed Base Simulator time and access to a Type Rating Instructor to Spirit Airlines pilots affected by the US ultra-low-cost carrier's shutdown, with no obligations attached.

• TBW's offer is open to any affected Spirit Airlines pilots passing through Porto (LPPR), providing an opportunity to maintain A320 skills, procedural flow, and currency during a period of career disruption.
• TBW partners with FBC-AERONAUTIC, LDA on the FBC 320, a next-generation simulation device offering an advanced training environment for multi-crew operations. The companies showcased the device at Pilot Expo 2025 in Brussels, and TBW also partners with US-based Takeoff Trim on virtual reality-based distance learning tools for airlines and ATOs.
