USA – PlaneEnglish, a developer of AI-powered aviation radio communication training tools, has highlighted its ongoing partnership with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) to deliver aviation communication training to K-12 students through the AeroEducate program, which now reaches over 50,000 students.
- The partnership introduced an ARSim training unit designed specifically for K-12 students, featuring 10 progressive, AI-assisted levels that take learners from their first radio call through to solo-level proficiency in aviation communication.
- Students develop real communication skills through interactive scenarios, stage checks, and earn credits, badges, and certificates as they progress — going beyond rote phraseology to build practical radio confidence.
- The program is integrated into EAA's AeroEducate platform, which provides structured STEM and aviation education pathways for young learners, with over 50,000 students already enrolled.
- Early aviation radio communication training addresses a recognized challenge in ab initio pilot training, where student anxiety around radio communication is frequently cited as a barrier to progress. Building these skills at the K-12 level can reduce training friction and improve safety awareness before students enter formal flight training.
- PlaneEnglish's ARSim platform uses artificial intelligence to simulate realistic ATC communication scenarios, providing immediate feedback and adaptive difficulty progression.
