Philippines' Cebu Pacific Inaugurates 1,685-Square-Metre Aviation Training Facility in April 2026

April 28, 2026

Philippines – Cebu Pacific has opened a 1,685-square-metre in-house training academy in Parañaque City, equipped with Airbus A330 and ATR door trainers, cabin mock-ups, slide trainers, and simulation-based classrooms to train the airline's pilots and cabin crew.

  • The Cebu Pacific Training Academy is designed to reduce the airline's reliance on external training capacity by bringing pilot and crew training in-house, providing tighter control over safety procedures, service standards, and training consistency.
  • Cebu Pacific recently extended its long-term pilot training agreement with CAE in the Philippines in early 2026, maintaining its training center partnership.

Statements

  • "The Cebu Pacific Training Academy reflects our strong commitment and investment in the Philippines and its aviation industry. This facility allows us to stay focused on what matters most: operational excellence, service consistency, and nation-building," said Javier Massot, Chief Operations Officer at Cebu Pacific.
  • "With this facility, we also seek to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of aviation training standards in the Philippines, and to help raise a generation of more capable and future-ready aviation professionals," Massot added.
