United Kingdom – Oxford Airline Training (OAT), the newly relaunched UK CAA Approved Training Organisation based at London Oxford Airport, has launched an inaugural promotional offer on its APS MCC courses at GBP 5,700 (inc. VAT) for both Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320 platforms — a GBP 1,200 saving against the standard fee of GBP 6,900.

  • The promotion celebrates OAT's inaugural commitment to Modular APS MCC as a competency-based industry standard. APS MCC was OAT's first UK CAA approved course following its establishment as an ATO in 2026, delivered on type-specific B737NG and A320 FTD simulators and led by highly qualified, experienced airline pilot instructors.
  • Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) was introduced by the aviation regulator nearly a decade ago as a Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programme designed to replace the previous attendance-only MCC/JOC courses. The qualification provides trainees with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for their first multi-pilot type rating and has become widely recognised as the standard airline entry qualification across Europe.
  • OAT's "Level Up" philosophy is centred on promoting opportunities for trainee pilots following the modular route toward airline employment. The academy is positioned as a modern, scalable modular alternative in the UK market, with co-founders Anthony Petteford and John Hardcastle emphasising that modular pilot training deserves the same level of investment and quality as integrated and MPL training routes.
  • OAT operates from a 55,000-square-foot purpose-built facility at Hangar 7, London Oxford Airport, with a fleet comprising up to six Diamond DA42 TDI aircraft, two DA42 FNPT II simulators, Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG FTD1 simulators, and a Super Decathlon for AUPRT. All simulators and aircraft are maintained on-site by sister company Triple J Aviation Engineering.
  • The academy's programme rollout includes APS MCC and MCC Instructor training from April 2026, Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (AUPRT) in Spring 2026, and Multi-Engine Class Rating, Instrument Rating, and CPL courses later in 2026. Graduates completing all professional modules benefit from a dedicated Airline Careers Centre service.
