Leading Edge Aviation Expands 2026 Fleet with 4 New Piper Archer DX Aircraft

United Kingdom & Spain – Leading Edge Aviation, a UK headquartered flight training group, has ordered four new Piper Archer DX aircraft for deployment at its fair-weather training base in Alhama, Spain, marking the start of a multi-year, multi-aircraft fleet expansion plan with Piper.

• The first Piper Archer DX is scheduled to enter service next month, with the remaining three aircraft due for delivery in summer 2026. The phased introduction supports continued growth while maintaining training delivery standards.
• The four-aircraft acquisition represents the beginning of a broader multi-year fleet expansion partnership with Piper, signalling sustained investment in training capacity beyond this initial order.
• The Archer DX aircraft will be based at Leading Edge Aviation's Alhama, Spain training base, enhancing single-engine training capacity and operational flexibility for students in the early phases of their pilot training pathway.
• The new aircraft complement Leading Edge Aviation's existing fleet of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft alongside specialist platforms and advanced simulator capability, creating a progression from single-engine to multi-engine training on modern, standardised systems.
