India – Akasa Air, India's fast-growing Boeing 737 MAX operator, is recruiting a Senior Manager – Cadet Pilot Program as the airline builds a dedicated cadet management infrastructure to support its long-term pilot pipeline aligned with fleet growth. The role signals a significant step in formalising Akasa Air's approach to ab-initio pilot development.

The position is designed to monitor, analyse, and predict cadet training performance using data-driven insights, manage the airline's interface with Flight Training Organisations (FTOs), oversee cadet welfare and professional development, and align cadet intake volumes with fleet induction plans and long-term pilot demand.
Key responsibilities include maintaining phase-wise performance dashboards covering ground school, simulator, flight, and skill test stages; generating predictive risk flags for likely failures, delays, or extended training timelines; and designing individualised remedial training plans in coordination with FTOs.
The role will serve as the single point of contact for assigned FTOs, ensuring compliance with agreed training syllabi, airline training quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities extend to coordinating scheduled audits, quality assessments, and site visits with training partners.
Cadet welfare management is a core component, encompassing accommodation and living conditions monitoring, mental well-being and stress indicator tracking, and structured development of Crew Resource Management (CRM), Threat and Error Management (TEM), and professional behaviour.
The Senior Manager will plan cadet intakes aligned with aircraft induction schedules and pilot manpower forecasts, model pipeline scenarios managing training throughput, buffer capacity, and attrition contingencies, and coordinate with recruitment, rostering, and manpower planning teams. Akasa Air has received its 37th Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The airline resumed pilot hiring in early 2026 after an 18-month pause caused by Boeing delivery delays, and currently employs approximately 757 pilots. Akasa Air holds firm orders for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, positioning it among the largest future global operators of the type.
