Greece – Egnatia Aviation, one of Greece's leading pilot training organizations, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades of growth from a single flight training organisation established in 2006 to a globally recognized aviation training ecosystem with more than 2,700 graduates now flying worldwide.
- Egnatia Aviation holds approvals from EASA, UAE GCAA, and QCAA, and maintains a strong network of airline partnerships across Europe and the Middle East.
- Key milestones over two decades:
- 2006 — Foundation of Egnatia Aviation and official FTO approval
- 2011 — Training partnership with Qatar Airways
- 2017 — Training and selection agreement with Wizz Air
- 2018–2019 — Acceleration phase including:
- Training partnership with Air Arabia
- Exclusive training partnership with Iraqi Airways
- Launch of collaboration with Aegean Airlines
- Training and selection agreement with AlFarahidi University (Iraq)
- Delivery of over 20,000 training hours within a single year
- Establishment of second training base in Kozani, Greece
- Acquisition of Amygdaleonas Aerodrome (Lydia) as a dedicated operational hub supporting long-term scalability
- Recent renewals of partnerships with both Iraqi Airways and Aegean Airlines
- In 2025, Egnatia added 6 Elixir Aircraft to its fleet with a further 9 on order, continuing its investment in modern training platforms.
