Denmark – Center Air Pilot Academy (CAPA), an EASA-certified flight training provider established in 1991 and headquartered at Roskilde Airport in Denmark, has signed an agreement to acquire 10 Tecnam P-Mentor single-engine trainers and one Tecnam P2006T NG twin-engine aircraft at the 2026 AERO Friedrichshafen exhibition.
- The 11-aircraft order represents a major fleet expansion for CAPA, building on a partnership with Tecnam that began in 2022 with the academy's first Tecnam acquisition and expanded in 2024 following positive operational experience.
- The 10 Tecnam P-Mentors are EASA CS-23 IFR-certified two-seat trainers equipped with Garmin G3X glass cockpits and powered by the Rotax 912iSc fuel-injected engine, offering what Tecnam describes as the lowest fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions currently available for IFR training.
- The Tecnam P2006T NG (Next Generation) complements the single-engine fleet as a twin-engine training platform for multi-engine syllabus requirements, preparing cadets for commercial aviation operations. CAPA took delivery of its first P2006T NG in December 2025.
- The combined P-Mentor and P2006T NG fleet creates a cohesive training environment with consistent modern avionics across both single- and twin-engine phases.
- CAPA also received a new Simnest B737 FNPT II MCC simulator in January 2026, further expanding its training infrastructure alongside the fleet growth.
Statements
- "By adding ten P-Mentors and another P2006T NG to our fleet, we are ensuring our students train on the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly aircraft available. The synergy between the P-Mentor and the P2006T NG creates a seamless, modern training environment that perfectly mirrors the commercial airliner flight decks our cadets will soon enter," said Simon Frost, Co-Owner and CTKI of Center Air Pilot Academy.
- "The fact that this partnership began in 2022, grew in 2024, and has now resulted in this massive fleet expansion is the greatest testament to the quality and reliability of our aircraft," said Walter Da Costa, Chief Sales Officer at Tecnam.
