India – Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA), one of India's leading DGCA-approved flying training groups, has inducted Batch ICP 11 of the CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program with 67 cadets — the largest single intake in the program's history. The Letter of Intent (LOI) signing ceremony took place on 27 March 2026 in Gurugram.
- Batch ICP 11's 67 cadets represent a significant step-up from Batch ICP 10, which inducted 47 cadets in January 2026. The growing batch sizes reflect increasing demand from IndiGo for cadet pilot throughput as India's largest airline by market share continues to expand its fleet and route network.
- The ceremony included interaction between IndiGo representatives and the cadets, with perspectives shared on airline operations and professional expectations. Mr. Y. N. Sharma, CEO of Chimes Aviation Academy, addressed the cadets and their families, emphasising commitment, discipline, and consistency as foundational principles for their aviation careers.
- The IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program at CAA follows a structured flying training pathway delivered jointly by Chimes Aviation Academy and IndiGo. In January 2026, CAA hosted the IndiGo Learning & Development Team for a two-day engagement at its Neemuch Airbase focused on Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) alignment and airline-centric training philosophy.
- CAA has been expanding its training infrastructure to support growing cadet volumes. In the first quarter of 2026, the academy inducted seven Piper Archer aircraft. The academy operates two flight training bases in Madhya Pradesh.
