Philippines – Cebu Pacific Air has formally recognised 19 cadets from Batch 2 of its Cadet Pilot Program at a graduation ceremony held at Mactan Newtown Beach Resort in Cebu on 15 April 2026, marking continued progress in the airline's structured pilot development initiative delivered in partnership with Airworks Aviation Academy.

  • The ceremony was attended by Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, who delivered the keynote address on discipline, safety, and professionalism in pilot development, and by Capt. Michael Lee representing Cebu Pacific Air.
  • The Batch 2 milestone continues the cadence of the Cebu Pacific Cadet Pilot Program, which has been scaling rapidly. In January 2026, Batch 5 was launched with 20 cadets (four women and sixteen men), and in December 2025, Airworks confirmed the intake of its 100th Cebu Pacific cadet — a milestone coinciding with Cebu Pacific reaching a 100-aircraft fleet.

  • The program provides selected cadets with end-to-end pilot training leading to a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings, aligned with Cebu Pacific's operational standards.

  • The academy was established in 1993 and offers integrated and modular training programs from Private Pilot Licence through to Airline Transport Pilot standards, operating a fleet of Cessna and Piper aircraft from its Cebu base.
