United Kingdom – CAE has announced a five-year extension of the Generation easyJet Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) program, reinforcing its position as easyJet's exclusive MPL training partner in a relationship spanning nearly three decades.
- The extended agreement reopens the Generation easyJet MPL program, with selected cadets expected to begin training with CAE in late 2026. The extension was announced on 24 April at a time when easyJet is actively recruiting hundreds of new pilots over the coming years.
- CAE has served as easyJet's MPL training partner since 2010 and has supported the airline's broader pilot training needs since 1995. To date, the partnership has trained and delivered more than 1,500 pilots to easyJet through MPL, Integrated ATPL, and type-rating programs — an increase from the 1,200 previously reported.
- The Generation easyJet MPL is a structured, competency-based training pathway aligned with easyJet's operational standards, with cadets selected and mentored by the easyJet team from program entry through to joining the airline as Airbus A320 co-pilots.
- According to CAE's 2025 Aviation Talent Forecast, Europe is expected to require approximately 57,000 new commercial pilots by 2034, underscoring the scale of long-term workforce demand driving sustained investment in structured cadet training pathways.
