Belgium – A-VIATOR, a Belgian flight school based at Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport, has committed to standardising its training fleet with Tecnam aircraft, placing an order for a new Tecnam P2008JC NG at the AERO Friedrichshafen exhibition following the introduction of its first Tecnam P2010 in March 2026.
- A-VIATOR has been fully operational since April 2023 and doubled its student base in 2025 compared to the previous year, driving fleet capacity requirements that have led to the Tecnam standardisation decision.
- The P2008JC NG order follows a positive operational experience with A-VIATOR's first Tecnam aircraft, a P2010, which entered the fleet in March 2026. The academy will now transition its entire fleet to Tecnam platforms.
- In 2026, A-VIATOR is expanding its training portfolio beyond PPL and Night VFR to include BIR (Basic Instrument Rating) and CBIR (Competency-Based Instrument Rating) programs, progressing toward a complete modular professional pilot pathway.
- The fleet standardisation is aimed at improving operational efficiency, maintenance planning, and training consistency across the school's operations, while reducing operating costs and emissions through the P2008JC NG's fuel-efficient design.
Statements
- "Following the introduction of our first Tecnam aircraft in March 2026, we immediately saw an overwhelmingly positive response from our students. For me, this confirmed that Tecnam was going to be our future partner — one that will play a key role in helping us shape and grow the story of A-VIATOR in the years to come," said Vincent Dumoulin, Managing Director and Founder of A-VIATOR.
- "Their decision to standardize their fleet with Tecnam after experiencing the P2010 is a strong validation of our aircraft's quality, efficiency, and appeal to the next generation of aviators," said Pasquale De Rosa, Europe Sales Manager at Tecnam.
