Global – Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. (ASTi) has received contract awards from Pilatus Aircraft to supply audio, communications, and simulated air traffic control systems for 15 advanced turboprop aircraft trainers being produced for the French Air and Space Force, Belgian Air Force, and Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force for use in initial pilot training.

  • Each of the 15 trainers will incorporate two ASTi core products: the Telestra audio and communications system, providing crew and simulated radio communications alongside high-fidelity environmental sound and aural cues; and the Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA), a dynamic ATC environment generating realistic traffic patterns at more than 10,000 airports and helipads worldwide.
  • Pilatus engineers will use Telestra's development toolkit to create and deploy aircraft-specific audio and communications models for each trainer, while ASTi will expand SERA's capabilities to include multiple European airfields specific to the French, Belgian, and Dutch training program's.
  • Post-delivery, ASTi will work directly with program administrators and instructors to refine ATC behaviours and procedures as part of its standard customer support model.
  • The contracts were awarded at end of 2025 and represent a significant expansion of ASTi's presence in European defense pilot training.
